ForceField^® Fabric Protector is a professional strength treatment that creates a protective finish that effectively resists soils and stains. It is safe for all types of fabrics and fibers including silk and sisal. Soils and spills simply blot from the surface. ForceField^® Fabric Protector is easy to use, and the solvent formulation dries quickly. Perfect for use wherever your valuable investments need to be protected from stains and spills: in the home, office, boat, auto, and many other applications.

How & Why ForceField^® Fabric Protector Works

When a spill or soil contacts an unprotected fabric surface, the fibers within the fabric act like microscopic straws and draw the spill into the surface. Applying ForceField^® Fabric Protector to surfaces creates an extremely thin polymer barrier that prevents spills and soils from actually contacting the surfaces of the fibers. As a result, spills simply lie on the surfaces and can be easily blotted away before they have the opportunity to create a stain.

Applications

Always test for compatibility by applying ForceField^® Fabric Protector to an inconspicuous area of the surface to be treated. For best results, apply to new or clean surfaces. As this is a solvent-based product, exercise proper caution by applying either outdoors, or in a well-ventilated area. Do not spray near flame, sparks, heated surfaces, or other potential sources of ignition. Avoid excessive airborne mist. Do not apply using high-pressure spraying equipment. Holding the sprayer 6 to 12 inches away from the surface to be treated, spray a sufficient quantity of ForceField^® Fabric Protector to evenly wet the surface. Recommended coverage is 1 ounce per 5 to 6 square feet of surface. Treated surfaces are dry to the touch in 2 to 4 hours, and completely cured in 24 hours.

For applications where both UV and soil/stain protection is desired, UV SunBlock™ can be used in conjunction with ForceField^® Fabric Protector. While order of application is not critical, we suggest that UV SunBlock™ be applied first. To assure that surfaces retain a proper level of protection, they should be re-treated once per year, or after cleaning
